Frequently Asked Questions
What books have you written?
My first book, The Grimsbane Family Witch Hunters, about a girl's quest to rescue her cursed brother from a haunted forest, is being released on August 20, 2024. I am currently writing several more books!
Why did you become an author?
I have always enjoyed creative writing, but did not take it seriously beyond a hobby until college. I wrote The Grimsbane Family Witch Hunters during the Covid pandemic after my college shut down and I was stuck at home with nothing to do. I queried agents throughout my first semester of law school, signed with my current agent, and eventually sold The Grimsbane Family Witch Hunters to Simon & Schuster's Aladdin imprint.
Where do you get ideas for your books?
My books are heavily influenced by myths, legends, and folklore, as all of my books have at least a hint of magic. I'm also inspired by my relationships with my family and friends, who I am very close to.
Do you visit schools?
Yes! Please see my school visit page for more information.
What are your favorite books?
I read widely in many different genres, so it is hard to pick just one! My favorite children's books are Witchlings, Ravenfall, and Amari and the Night Brothers. The Percy Jackson series will also always have a special place in my heart.
